Clinicians can only delete Care Notes they have added. PDMP Administrators can also delete Care Notes, if deemed necessary. |
To delete a Care Note, a user must have either generated a new Patient Report or view a previously created Patient Report. For additional information on creating or viewing a Patient Report, please refer to the Performing a Patient Request (Patient Search) or Viewing Patient Reports help articles.
In the Care Notes section of the Patient Report, locate the note that needs to be deleted, keeping in mind Care Notes created by other clinicians cannot be deleted.
Click the Actions drop-down menu and select Delete Note.
The Delete Care Note window is displayed.
Select the reason you are deleting the Care Note and add any additional comments regarding the deletion in the Additional Comments field. Selecting Other as the reason for your deletion will require completion of the Additional Comments field. Click Submit.
The Care Note is immediately removed from the patient’s record and will no longer be visible to any clinician.
Care Notes that have been deleted are indicated with [Deleted] next to the Care Note description in the user's inbox.
